So Long and Thanks for All the Fish: A Farewell from EdgePoint Learning

Dear Friends, Colleagues, and Customers,

After 18 remarkable years, EdgePoint Learning will be closing its doors this summer. Writing those words is not easy, but what comes much more naturally is the deep gratitude I feel for every person who has been part of this journey.

When I founded EdgePoint Learning with my business partner, Krista Kalish, in 2007, I believed that great training could genuinely change how people work, grow, and lead. What I could not have imagined was the breadth of what we would build together β€” hundreds of hours of online learning spanning technology, policy and compliance, legal requirements, leadership development, soft skills, and product education. We had the privilege of partnering with organizations from large multinational Fortune 500 companies to local nonprofits, across industries ranging from federal and state government, healthcare, finance, and higher education, to hospitality, high tech, food and beverage, and organizations doing vital work in suicide prevention. That range β€” and the trust every one of those clients placed in us β€” is something I will carry with me always.

None of it would have been possible without an extraordinary team. To our instructional designers, graphic designers, voiceover artists, project managers, and learning and development professionals: your talent, creativity, and dedication were the heart of everything we delivered. You showed up β€” for each other, for our customers, and for the work β€” and I am profoundly grateful for you. To our customers: thank you for trusting us with work that truly mattered. It has been a genuine honor to innovate alongside you as the eLearning industry evolved, and to know that the training we built together made a real difference for the people in your organizations.

As for why we're closing β€” the answer is really a return to the beginning. Before EdgePoint Learning, I spent a decade working in the nonprofit sector alongside people in crisis, individuals navigating substance abuse, and families in need. That work shaped me deeply, and after 18 years of building something I'm proud of, I feel called to go back to it. I want to spend this next chapter closer to my community, where I can make a direct and meaningful difference in people's lives. It feels less like an ending and more like completing a circle.
